Connor ran his 60 at 7.4 seconds which is a little below average given his position and grad year. Connor’s velocity from the INF was 67 MPH while his OF velo was 65 MPH which are also below average for those positions and grad year. Finally at the plate Connor peaked at an exit velo of 71 MPH.
Development Suggestions
Connor’s biggest focus should be to improve his overall strength, arm strength/speed, and speed and agility. By enhancing physically in each of these areas he will see his baseball skills enhance as well. At the plate the top half of Connor’s load is optimal and very efficient. Connor needs to find consistency with what he is doing with his lower half. He mixed between leg lift and no stride. While it is normal for a player to go from leg lift to no stride with 2 strikes, it is not normal to mix between the two otherwise. Being consistent with his lower half rhythm is very important to finding consistency as a hitter. I would also encourage Connor to keep 2 hands on the bat through the swing which will allow him to deliver maximum energy through the baseball. On the INF Connor will also benefit from improving his INF actions and footwork.
